Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable, low-latency services supporting the deals and promotions experience.
  • Translate customer and business requirements into robust technical solutions with product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and improve service performance, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, maintainability, development practices, and code reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to help the team improve.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language, such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience designing high-performance, scalable services and APIs, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
  • At least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience using generative AI tools and willingness to learn prompting and evaluation practices is preferred.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for generative AI to improve products, workflows, or customer experiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
