Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications and features using Go and React.
- Build and maintain scalable solutions within a distributed architecture.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams to deliver products.
- Develop and collect metrics to improve existing products.
- Deliver high-quality, tested features that adhere to reporting standards.
- Lead small development teams as needed to bring projects to market.
- Mentor engineering teammates and help improve their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Experience building and serving APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
- Experience with distributed, cloud-based architectures and transactional outboxes or queuing tools such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience building consensus and advancing new ideas.
- Preferred experience with SQL-based relational databases and ORM tools.
- Preferred familiarity with Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog for production monitoring and alerting.
- Preferred DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized microservice architectures deployed with Kubernetes on AWS.
- Preferred history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications and prioritizing improvements based on stakeholder or customer feedback.
