Responsibilities
- Build enterprise WordPress features including custom Gutenberg blocks in React.js, plugins, and themes using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Own tickets end-to-end by interpreting requirements, making implementation decisions, and delivering reviewable pull requests with clear documentation and testing details.
- Translate Figma designs and project requirements into polished, responsive features and reusable components within WordPress themes and plugins.
- Use AI tools to accelerate implementation and debugging while validating all generated output before submission.
- Incorporate feedback from senior and lead engineers and collaborate in English with distributed engineering, design, and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Solid agency or consultancy experience building enterprise WordPress solutions for large-scale, high-traffic projects.
- Experience across HTML, CSS, modern PHP, JavaScript, the Gutenberg ecosystem, and React.js custom block development.
- Ability to own features from requirements through implementation and communicate technical decisions, assumptions, and tradeoffs clearly in English.
- Existing practical experience using AI tools in software development while understanding and validating their output.
- Residence in Latin America and ability to collaborate in real time with US-based teams.
- Experience with ElasticPress or ClassifAI is preferred.
