Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable, high-performance backend applications.
- Develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS.
- Tune and troubleshoot Oracle and PostgreSQL databases and provide production support.
- Drive code quality, development best practices, CI/CD, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices.
- Mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, manage technical risks, and support timely project delivery.
- Lead technical discussions, influence architectural decisions, and manage stakeholder and client relationships.
Requirements
- 9–12 years of experience as a Java technology leader or software engineer.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, code quality standards, and development best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, AWS or Azure, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and React.js.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, communication, stakeholder management, and client management skills.
- Exposure to banking and financial services, including Financial Crime & Surveillance Operations, AML Transaction Monitoring, Trade Surveillance, or Regulatory Reporting, is advantageous.
- Exposure to treasury and capital markets is a significant advantage.
