Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own major product surfaces using retrieval, structured reasoning, and multi-step AI pipelines.
- Prototype, evaluate, and productionize AI workflows for contract review, clause analysis, playbook enforcement, and multi-document tasks.
- Improve the LLM orchestration layer, prompt library, evaluation tooling, and RAG strategies.
- Partner with founders and the in-house legal team to design and validate product features.
- Build backend services for multi-tenant enterprise customers and high-volume workloads.
- Design contract-analysis agents, retrieval systems, structured evaluation datasets, streaming workflows, and deterministic Word-ready outputs.
- Ship small changes and functional releases through rapid iteration cycles.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering skills with the ability to build production systems end to end.
- Experience shipping ML- or LLM-powered products at scale.
- Experience with retrieval, embeddings, experimentation, and evaluations.
- Ability to design multi-step pipelines and agentic workflows.
- Strong understanding of latency, reliability, fallback strategies, correctness, and user experience quality.
- Ability to prototype in days and productionize in weeks.
- Bonus experience with Go, Next.js, React, Postgres, pgvector, Cloud Run, and multi-provider LLM orchestration.
