Base Salary
$70k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship user-facing AI features across Automattic’s product ecosystem.
- Build and iterate rapidly on AI-powered products impacting millions of users.
- Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Experiment and scale successful AI innovations from prototype to production.
- Embed with teams to work on products like WordPress.com and WooCommerce.
- Stay current with AI developments that unlock new user experiences.
Requirements
- Production experience with LLMs at meaningful scale.
- Strong full-stack development skills, primarily in PHP, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience building AI-powered user interfaces that perform well at scale.
- Fundamentals of machine learning and awareness of rapid field developments.
- Track record of technical leadership or influence on high-performing teams.
- Ability to work well in distributed teams or collaborate in-person if based in NYC.
