Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with strong test coverage.
- Translate product requirements into robust designs for distributed application systems.
- Lead design and code reviews across multiple applications.
- Lead sprint teams in delivering new or improved features and resolving impediments.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to deliver intended functionality.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive technical strategy and vision for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of software programming experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with technologies used at Mercury.
- At least 1 year of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Proficiency in one or more industry-standard programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, relational databases, NoSQL databases, caching solutions, APIs, message queuing, data streaming, workflow frameworks, integration frameworks, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of Java experience and 5 or more years of Spring Framework experience, including Spring Boot.
- Preferred: experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs; hands-on MongoDB experience; and experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Ability to use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT in IDEs such as IntelliJ and VS Code.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, influencing, mentoring, leadership, and technical-strategy skills.
