Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop intelligent cloud-managed Intercom systems with firmware, backend, and frontend engineering teams
- Take technical ownership of major systems and drive product ideas through completion
- Solve complex, ambiguous engineering problems and deliver customer value
- Build best-in-class product experiences rather than isolated features
- Teach and learn across technologies in a collaborative startup environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a science field
- At least 7 years of experience working on Linux development as a software engineer
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Expertise with Yocto and Bash
- Experience with embedded Linux, cameras, and audio systems is preferred
- Familiarity with Linux servers, Linux device drivers, Linux kernel patches, secure operating systems, and security-focused programming
- Familiarity with RTOS, Secure Boot, Go, and WebRTC
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Understanding of HTTP and practical debugging techniques
- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week
- Willingness to travel internationally twice per year
