Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and tooling.
- Plan and execute testing strategies across applications, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to support high-quality releases.
- Define, track, and analyze quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Establish best practices for test automation, CI/CD, and quality engineering.
- Perform exploratory, risk-based, load, and performance testing to uncover edge cases and improve resilience.
- Document business rules, systems, and testing strategies.
- Investigate, reproduce, isolate, and report bugs with development teams.
- Participate in the Agile software development lifecycle within a cross-functional team.
- Support and mentor team members while advancing quality engineering as a discipline.
- Integrate AI into testing workflows, including test case generation, flaky test detection, and intelligent assertions.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply reliability, reproducibility, and governance practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
- Strong automated testing experience with JavaScript and/or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Appium, or similar testing frameworks.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes-based deployment platforms.
- Experience with event-driven architectures such as Apache Kafka, pub/sub systems, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs with tools such as RestAssured.
- Familiarity with load and performance testing tools such as K6.
- Knowledge of test automation design patterns and best practices.
- Experience in Agile, fast-paced, continuous delivery environments.
- Comfort with Git-based version control systems.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with SQL and non-SQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with Google BigQuery is preferred.
- Understanding of Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
- Experience integrating AI into testing workflows and understanding of prompt engineering and AI-output evaluation.
- Awareness of reliability, reproducibility, and governance practices for AI-driven testing.
