Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end product architecture for identity and access management solutions across enterprise platforms.
- Define identity lifecycle, authentication, authorization, entitlement, audit, and integration patterns.
- Translate identity requirements into architectural blueprints in collaboration with product managers and business stakeholders.
- Analyze existing identity systems and propose modernization approaches that improve performance, resilience, and maintainability.
- Guide development teams on implementing identity protocols and secure access mechanisms.
- Review technical designs and implementation artifacts for architectural alignment, security vulnerabilities, and integration risks.
- Define performance, capacity, availability, and disaster recovery requirements for identity services with security and infrastructure teams.
- Drive adoption of reusable identity services, including single sign-on and role-based access control.
- Document architecture decisions, identity patterns, data flows, and integration contracts.
- Monitor production identity services using logs, metrics, and analytics and recommend improvements.
- Mentor peers and junior engineers on identity design practices.
- Evaluate identity controls for transaction validation, fraud checks, and audit trails when check processing capabilities are in scope.
Requirements
- Six to eight years of experience in identity and access management, including user provisioning, access modeling, authentication flows, and policy enforcement.
- Strong understanding of directory services, tokens, and federated identity concepts.
- Practical experience integrating identity platforms with enterprise applications and middleware.
- Familiarity with check processing or related financial transaction domains is required for relevant product scopes.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model using remote collaboration practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing identity issues and balancing security, usability, and cost.
- Effective communication skills for explaining architectural decisions, risks, and benefits to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
