Responsibilities
- Evolve Farfetch’s e-commerce platform and define its future capabilities.
- Create new services and expand the microservices architecture.
- Improve platform performance and scalability as part of a product development team.
- Use technologies including .NET, SQL Server, MongoDB, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Mentor and support the growth of other team members.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure project scopes are technically feasible.
- Make autonomous technical decisions that positively impact large-scale systems.
Requirements
- Expertise in an object-oriented language such as C# or Java.
- Knowledge of unit testing and/or integration testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Knowledge of REST APIs.
- Passion for code quality and modern software development best practices.
- NoSQL database and SOA architecture experience is a plus.
- Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously, make important technical decisions, and solve complex problems.
