Responsibilities
- Understand client requirements and translate them into feasible software designs.
- Develop, modify, debug, and maintain software programs and modules.
- Create and execute test cases, scenarios, and usage cases for software validation.
- Automate software validation processes and investigate defects and problem areas.
- Perform root-cause analysis and recommend improvements to system performance and availability.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and code comments.
- Coordinate with project teams, systems analysts, engineering staff, and project managers on requirements and delivery status.
- Track project progress, releases, implementation quality, customer feedback, and service issues.
- Respond to customer requests and maintain professional communication through email, calls, and fault tracking.
- Participate in continuing education, training, and certification activities to remain current with programming best practices.
Requirements
- Experience or capability in software design, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance is required by the role responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze requirements, systems flow, data usage, work processes, and software specifications.
- Ability to design and execute software test cases and support automated validation.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend system improvements.
- Ability to collaborate with clients, project managers, functional teams, systems analysts, and engineering staff.
- Strong documentation, reporting, customer communication, and status-tracking capabilities.
- Willingness to learn new programming languages, participate in training, and complete relevant certifications.
