Responsibilities
- Own and develop the Windows front end of the OmniPlayer application.
- Develop and maintain Windows applications using C++ and C# .NET 8.0.
- Contribute to backend API services built with C++ and C# .NET 8.0.
- Build mission-critical features for live production environments.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to understand and evolve a mature codebase.
- Participate in code reviews and support software quality, reliability, and stability.
- Collaborate with product and support teams to improve customer outcomes.
- Help improve engineering practices, development workflows, and product modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on C++ development experience in mature codebases.
- Professional experience building and maintaining native Windows desktop applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, data integration, and OAuth authorization flows.
- Experience with multithreading and critical section management.
- Proficiency with Git and modern version control practices.
- Experience with SQL databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Preferred experience with Embarcadero C++ Builder and the VCL Framework.
- Preferred experience with Cursor, Claude Code, DevExpress VCL Framework, Kubernetes, GitLab, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, mission-critical applications, media or broadcasting software, and automated testing practices.
