Responsibilities
- Manage Neo4j databases, Cypher queries, storage design, performance, availability, consistency, backup, and recovery.
- Set up and operate multi-node Neo4j clusters, including high-availability and multi-data-center architectures.
- Implement Neo4j encryption and LDAP-based authentication and authorization solutions.
- Establish enterprise standards and gold images for provisioning data platforms.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes applications and administer Kubernetes clusters.
- Monitor systems and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and Splunk logging.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Neo4j Bloom, GDS, and Linkurious Enterprise.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams, evaluate technology solutions, and lead critical technology initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of technology experience; 7 years may substitute for a degree.
- At least 5 years of database management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing data platforms.
- Significant Neo4j and Cypher experience, including Neo4j clustering, high availability, disaster recovery, encryption, backup and recovery, and LDAP authentication and authorization.
- Experience with graph-driven data science applications such as graph feature engineering, graph embeddings, or graph neural networks.
- Experience with Kubernetes administration, observability systems, cloud-based system debugging, and database performance troubleshooting.
- Strong architecture, deployment, decision-making, client relationship, vendor management, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in an iterative, fast-paced Agile environment and linking business strategy with IT initiatives.
