Responsibilities
- Design and build intuitive, consistent public-facing APIs for Wise Platform partners.
- Own and drive technical roadmaps while addressing technical debt, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Architect robust and scalable microservices using event-driven design patterns.
- Influence product roadmaps and strategy with product management and cross-functional partners.
- Lead high-impact technical problems and cross-team initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and technical leads through code reviews and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in modern Java or another JVM-based language and experience with the Spring framework.
- Deep experience building and operating microservices, distributed systems, concurrency patterns, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems and scalable event pipelines.
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization, schema design, and data lifecycle management.
- Product-oriented mindset with experience using customer needs and data to shape roadmaps and solve partner problems.
- Experience leading cross-team and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
