Responsibilities
- Build and manage the REST API stack for Maropost web applications.
- Design, develop, and architect complex scalable web and backend applications.
- Create architecture designs and prototypes for big data, analytics, and cloud-native products.
- Drive architecture and design governance, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Provide technical leadership and promote industry-standard engineering practices.
- Deploy applications at scale in production and optimize application performance.
- Integrate applications with ML and NLP engines.
- Evaluate and improve software development tools and frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech degree.
- At least 3 years of experience building, designing, and architecting backend applications, web applications, and analytics systems.
- Experience deploying applications at scale in production systems.
- Experience with platform security capabilities including TLS and SSL.
- Experience building high-performance, web-scale, real-time response systems.
- Experience building and managing API endpoints for multimodal clients.
- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
- Advanced knowledge of high-level design, low-level design, and design patterns.
- Strong problem-solving, coding, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing in a startup environment.
- Experience in commerce cloud or marketing automation is preferred.
