Responsibilities
- Build Scala/Java systems and ETL solutions for regulatory data requirements.
- Contribute to implementation, architecture, design, pull-request reviews, and software development best practices.
- Work with business analysts and QA teams to translate regulatory and business requirements into technology solutions.
- Assist with L3 production support, application maintenance, and production issue resolution.
- Ensure applications satisfy regulatory, audit, data-security, application-security, user-management, and access-management requirements.
- Proactively manage issues from discovery through resolution and communicate development priorities to the team.
Requirements
- Strong Java or Scala development experience, with a proven track record as a senior developer.
- Strong SQL experience and experience with ETL systems, REST APIs, JSON, and streaming libraries such as Akka/Pekko Streams or Java equivalents.
- Experience with Apache Camel, financial services or capital markets, Jira/Confluence or similar tools, MongoDB or another NoSQL database, and cloud technologies is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, prioritization, initiative, and management skills.
- Candidates without Scala experience must demonstrate a strong willingness to learn Scala and ideally have experience with another functional language.
