Base Salary
$197k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and development of the Safety Platform backbone.
- Design and build the developer experience layer so product teams can integrate safety capabilities in hours rather than months.
- Own projects from concept through deployment while ensuring quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Partner with Trust & Safety ML, User Safety, Safety Operations, and product teams to translate platform needs into durable infrastructure.
- Develop systems that support moderation of content and interactions across Roblox.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating backend services and/or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Go or a similar compiled language, with Go strongly preferred.
- Experience with or strong interest in building developer platforms.
- Experience with CQRS, Event Sourcing, or NoSQL technologies such as Cassandra and DynamoDB is a plus.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work as a versatile generalist, investigate ambiguous problems analytically, focus on user needs, and strengthen team collaboration.
