Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support secure healthcare applications and reusable components using FHIR data and interoperability services.
- Develop SMART on FHIR applications, application frameworks, and CDS Hooks services.
- Build digital quality-measure and HEDIS capabilities and integrate applications with clinical and quality data services.
- Develop application logic, user-facing workflows, backend services, and integration components.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solutions for clinical, payer-provider, public-health, and quality-reporting use cases.
- Collaborate on testing, troubleshooting, documentation, deployment, and knowledge transfer with technical teams and external partners.
- Provide independent technical leadership and support additional project responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 or more years of related application development experience.
- Experience developing modern web applications with front-end and back-end components.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs using JSON and SQL.
- Experience with Java or a similar programming language and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and solve complex application and integration problems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.
- Experience with FHIR, SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks, or EHR integration is an additional qualification.
- Experience with digital quality measures, HEDIS, or clinical and quality data services is an additional qualification.
- Experience supporting federal Health IT programs, including work with VA, DHA, or HHS, is an additional qualification.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to complete a background check and obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including fingerprinting when required.
