Responsibilities
- Design and implement RAG pipelines grounded in customer clinical data.
- Build tool-calling and Model Context Protocol integrations connecting AI agents to EHRs, data warehouses, and operational systems.
- Develop production Python code using LangChain, LangSmith, and modern LLM techniques.
- Execute end-to-end deployments, including infrastructure setup, integration testing, monitoring configuration, cutover planning, and go-live execution.
- Monitor production AI systems, respond to incidents, troubleshoot customer issues, and implement reliability fixes.
- Serve as a technical expert and trusted partner to customers by explaining system architecture, capabilities, and limitations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python and production software development skills.
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain and LangSmith, or similar tools.
- Deep understanding of RAG, prompt engineering, tool calling, LLM-as-judge, and related LLM development patterns.
- Experience building integrations with APIs, databases, or enterprise systems, including asynchronous patterns, error handling, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with MCP or similar tool-integration frameworks is preferred.
- Healthcare IT experience with EHR integrations, FHIR, HL7, or healthcare data standards is preferred.
- Production DevOps or infrastructure experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response is preferred.
- Experience deploying AI or LLM systems in production and managing latency, reliability, and operational complexity is preferred.
- Experience with mission-critical or safety-sensitive systems, or startup and high-growth technology environments, is preferred.
