Responsibilities
- Work with strategic Oracle Cloud customers during pre-sales and post-sales engagements as a technical infrastructure expert.
- Design, deploy, manage, automate, monitor, and optimize cloud resources, distributed computing systems, data storage, and AI/ML infrastructure.
- Collaborate with scientists and software or infrastructure engineers to support machine learning model training, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot performance, scalability, reliability, and deployment issues for proof-of-concept and production environments.
- Ensure security and compliance through encryption, access control, vulnerability management, and infrastructure best practices.
- Advise customers and partners on advanced GPU solutions, cloud migration, Oracle Cloud value propositions, and deployment architecture.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Act as a technical liaison among customers, core engineering teams, and support.
- Coordinate moderately complex project tasks, provide technical oversight, mentor junior team members, and contribute to interviews and hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Experience with scripting and automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed-system orchestration tools such as Slurm or PBS.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and infrastructure best practices.
- Strong Linux skills, including hands-on experience with Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian; system administration; package management; shell scripting; and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- Preferred: proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, Java, or Scala.
- Preferred: experience designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure for AI/ML or HPC workloads.
- Preferred: familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn and their production deployment.
- Preferred: familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring.
- Preferred: strong experience with high-performance computing and GPU systems.
