Responsibilities

  • Translate business and functional requirements into documented technical specifications or user stories.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain back-end functionality and components.
  • Write clear, readable, maintainable code and take ownership of code quality and usability.
  • Optimize back-end systems, databases, data models, data structures, and algorithms for performance and efficiency.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices and integrate back-end systems with third-party applications through APIs and data exchange.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve back-end system issues.
  • Document code and technical processes and participate in peer reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Implement security mechanisms to protect and authenticate sensitive data.
  • Stay current with back-end technologies and continuously improve technical skills.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of developing cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with back-end technologies or back-end frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages commonly used for back-end development.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and related concepts.
  • Proficiency in fundamental web technologies.
  • Familiarity with designing, building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining code in a multi-service architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and deploying code to production.
  • Understanding of cloud fundamentals.
