Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications to develop test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, usability, user-acceptance, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Test RESTful APIs, including request payloads, responses, status codes, error handling, and third-party integrations.
- Identify, prioritize, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, regression suites, and test execution reports.
- Validate application data with SQL queries and perform backend database testing.
- Conduct cross-browser, responsive, production-validation, and troubleshooting testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders during software delivery and Agile ceremonies.
- Communicate testing progress, defects, release readiness, and quality risks.
- Improve QA processes, testing standards, documentation, and overall product quality.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in manual software testing or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, test levels, defect life cycles, and QA best practices.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications and complex end-to-end business workflows.
- Experience with RESTful API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Insomnia.
- Ability to write SQL queries for relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience creating test plans, scenarios, cases, test data, and execution reports.
- Experience with defect and test-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP/HTTPS, browser developer tools, JSON, and API-based integrations.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes UI automation, automated regression suites, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, API automation, testing frameworks, CI/CD integration, Git, performance testing, accessibility, security, mobile testing, and transaction-based applications.
