Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable web applications using Python frameworks and React.
- Design and develop APIs and backend services for data-driven use cases.
- Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, including App Service, Functions, Containers, Storage, SQL, and Databricks.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and security across the stack.
- Lead incident response and perform root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to consistent engineering practices and technical direction.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience with Python.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Experience building user interfaces with JavaScript and React.
- Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Service, Functions, Containers, and Storage.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience using GitHub, VS Code, and modern development environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documenting decisions and collaborating across teams.
- Preferred experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and data workflows.
- Preferred knowledge of risk management or financial services.
- Preferred familiarity with monitoring and tracing practices such as OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred experience using AI tools in the development process.
