Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Python.
- Apply SRE concepts and reliability engineering practices to improve system reliability and performance.
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production code and system algorithms.
- Contribute to architecture and design artifacts while ensuring design constraints are met.
- Analyze data and develop visualizations and reporting to improve software and systems.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, automated recovery, health checks, and performance metrics.
- Define and measure SLIs and SLOs to track system health.
- Conduct chaos engineering experiments and performance testing with JMeter.
- Collaborate with product teams to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in incident response, post-incident reviews, and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and emerging technology events.
- Foster a diverse, inclusive, collaborative, and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, AWS cloud exposure, troubleshooting, resiliency, automation, and security.
- Understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Experience with AI, the SDLC process, and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, automated recovery, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to implement and maintain system health checks and performance metrics.
- Understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Experience with chaos engineering practices.
- Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Commitment to writing maintainable, testable, and high-quality code.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
