Responsibilities
- Embed with local customers, including onsite when needed, to understand workflows, constraints, and success criteria.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, and delivery for customer deployments, including integrations, data onboarding, workflow configuration, and required product capabilities.
- Build and ship reliable, secure, and maintainable production code extending Partly’s core SaaS and API platform.
- Translate ambiguous customer problems into clear requirements, scoped milestones, measurable outcomes, and product or engineering roadmap inputs.
- Own deployments after launch by troubleshooting live issues, improving observability, hardening edge cases, and driving continuous improvement.
- Develop expertise in the auto parts domain and help customers modernize how they source, identify, and transact parts.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping complex software in production environments.
- Strong customer empathy and product thinking, with the ability to turn real-world workflows into pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to own the full lifecycle from discovery and design through building, deployment, operation, and iteration.
- Strong foundations in APIs, testing, system design, data structures, and debugging.
- Ability to collaborate clearly with customer IT and operations teams and internal product and engineering stakeholders.
- Experience integrating external systems through APIs, webhooks, EDI, FTP, file feeds, or SSO and handling imperfect data.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and make tradeoffs between time-to-value and long-term maintainability.
- Experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or implementation is a bonus.
- Experience with automotive parts, repairer or supplier workflows, or adjacent B2B marketplaces is a bonus.
- Rust experience or a strong interest in learning Rust is a bonus.
