Base Salary

$120k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

Build end-to-end product features spanning domain models, business logic, and API integrations.
Deliver product milestones through data-informed, incremental releases.
Use SQL and analytics tools to assess product and system performance.
Debug complex state machines in event-driven systems and message-queue workflows.
Own production implementations, ship through CI/CD, and respond to incidents as needed.

At least 3 years of experience building backend features end to end for production systems.
Proficiency designing and consuming REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, data modeling, query optimization, and SQL-based analytics.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and code review.
Experience building consumer-facing products and working in an early-stage startup or similarly high-velocity environment.
Strong computer science fundamentals and experience with distributed systems.
Go and GCP experience are useful.

The role is on-site in San Francisco, California; candidates based in Seattle or willing to relocate to San Francisco or Seattle may also be considered.
