Responsibilities
- Implement new product features and support or extend existing ones.
- Build frontend platform components used across internal and external products and ecommerce storefronts such as Shopify and Salesforce.
- Contribute to architecture and maintain code quality in partnership with senior engineers.
- Translate wireframes and mockups into functional UI components with product and design teams.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and Node.js.
- Deploy code and infrastructure components using Google Cloud Platform.
- Work with PostgreSQL, Spanner, and BigQuery databases.
- Implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
Requirements
- A BS or MS in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience is required.
- 10+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems is required.
- Experience building consumer-facing applications with frontend frameworks such as React, Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember is required.
- Experience building software with Node.js or Golang is required.
- Experience developing consumer-facing applications that consume APIs from microservice backend systems is required.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Knowledge of the full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals is required.
- Strong focus on code quality and code reviews is required.
- Experience mentoring other engineers is required.
- Previous startup experience and a growth and product engineering mindset are strongly preferred.
