Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of large, complex technology initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, and reusable platform solutions.
- Develop architecture designs, integration models, technology roadmaps, and target-state platform alignment.
- Drive architecture governance, design reviews, solution assurance, and risk mitigation.
- Design and evolve enterprise platforms, supporting cloud migration, API enablement, event-driven architecture, and application modernization.
- Define cloud-native architecture patterns, engineering standards, API-first and microservices solutions, and event-driven solutions.
- Support proofs of concept, innovation initiatives, technology assessments, and successful implementation by engineering teams.
- Partner with stakeholders and facilitate architecture workshops, design sessions, leadership presentations, and governance forums.
- Mentor architects and engineers and promote architectural best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise technology delivery, or solution architecture.
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions as a Solution Architect.
- Experience working across complex technology environments with multiple systems and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of architecture principles, distributed systems, modern software engineering, cloud-native architecture, and platform engineering.
- Experience designing enterprise platforms and solutions on AWS or equivalent public cloud platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, or AKS, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering, observability, operational excellence, API-first and event-driven architectures, REST APIs, messaging, microservices, and OpenAPI specifications.
- Knowledge of security-by-design, identity management, access controls, OIDC, SSO authentication, session cookies, tokens, and token lifecycle management.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data model design, and resilient and redundant data architectures.
- Experience in Agile and product-based delivery environments with strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: telecommunications industry experience; knowledge of TM Forum Open APIs and enterprise architecture frameworks; experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Adobe Experience Manager; AWS or TOGAF certifications; platform engineering or Internal Developer Platform experience; and experience supporting AI, automation, digital transformation, privacy, cybersecurity, logging, or operational-readiness initiatives.
