Base Salary
$189k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Coordinate software development and integration across EV system components such as EVSE and inverters.
- Design, develop, test, and document embedded software for safety-critical battery and power-electronics components.
- Develop low-level peripheral drivers, vehicle communication protocols, battery-management algorithms, and real-time power-converter controls.
- Analyze hardware circuits and troubleshoot embedded software using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Validate power-converter algorithms and system reliability using high-voltage test benches and hardware-in-the-loop platforms.
- Define test cases, requirements, calibration parameters, and supporting documentation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in firmware, hardware, systems, functional-safety, HARA, and FMEA reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Six years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
- Six years of experience implementing embedded C software in RTOS and bare-metal environments, developing ARM Cortex drivers, troubleshooting hardware circuits, and integrating high-voltage EV components.
- Four years of experience implementing CAN, CAN-FD, SPI, I2C, UART, LIN, and UDS protocols.
- Four years of experience developing software according to MISRA C and ISO 26262 functional-safety requirements for ASIL B or higher.
- Four years of experience implementing battery-management algorithms for SOC, SOH, SOE, and SOT.
- Two years of experience developing firmware and real-time control algorithms for high-frequency DCDC power converters.
- Two years of experience assessing software and control-algorithm performance with HIL platforms such as Typhoon, dSPACE, or OPAL-RT.
