Base Salary
$89k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java backend applications and microservices.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using established API design and security best practices.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to develop efficient data access patterns.
- Analyze logs and metrics, troubleshoot application issues, and contribute to performance and reliability improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with engineers to improve code quality and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide production support and contribute to user story analysis, technical design, development, and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience, preferably developing backend applications using Java.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development principles.
- Familiarity with JSON, HTTP, web services, and data structure fundamentals.
- Understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience or familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins or equivalent technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate well in writing and verbally.
