Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute performance test scenarios based on non-functional requirements and DTCC testing guidelines.
- Automate performance test scenarios using existing functional and performance test scripts.
- Maintain traceability among non-functional requirements, performance test scenarios, and defects.
- Review performance test scenarios with development teams, business stakeholders, and other partners.
- Track defects to closure, report test results, execute test plans, and escalate issues as needed.
- Integrate performance testing with delivery pipelines and produce test results.
- Create synthetic test data based on distribution and volume requirements.
- Understand supported products, logical architecture, and technical design as they relate to performance and scalability.
- Apply risk and control processes to monitor and mitigate risk.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience with performance engineering and resiliency testing, including analysis, testing, and tuning.
- Experience developing n-tier J2EE software applications and working in Unix or Linux environments.
- Expertise analyzing distributed platforms including Linux, Windows, AWS, containers, and VMware.
- Experience with performance analysis tools including Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, and TeamQuest.
- Experience with statistical and analytical modeling, data exploration, descriptive statistics, graphical techniques, time-series analysis, forecasting, and performance-volume metric modeling.
- Expertise with load and resiliency testing tools such as JMeter and Gremlin.
- Scripting experience with Perl, Unix shell, Python, Terraform, Chef, and Jenkins.
- Experience with JMS/IBM MQ and Kafka messaging systems.
- Understanding of RESTful web services, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle.
- Experience with AWS services including Kinesis, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, including testing, with Jenkins or a similar tool.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office, including Excel statistical functions and PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience working with Agile teams, preferably Scrum; financial-services experience is desirable.
