Base Salary
$166k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement clean, robust, scalable solutions for complex supply chain problems.
- Architect and optimize systems spanning supply chain planning, warehouse operations, fulfillment, transportation, APIs, and services.
- Drive technical decisions, architecture, implementation best practices, and tradeoffs across engineering teams.
- Own systems and designs spanning multiple engineers’ work, breaking initiatives into tasks for junior engineers.
- Lead design reviews and code reviews while maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build and operate event-driven, high-availability, high-throughput production services and microservices.
- Promote cloud-native solutions and support monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Partner with Data Science and analytics teams to operationalize AI/ML models and advanced analytics in production.
- Work with third-party WMS, TMS, planning platforms, vendors, and technology ecosystems.
- Champion AI/ML tools, automation, and agentic AI techniques to improve development and operational intelligence.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or technology roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Data.
- Experience designing and delivering complex distributed systems in production environments.
- Hands-on experience architecting event-driven systems and Tier 1 services for high availability and throughput at scale.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and high-throughput, low-latency streaming pipelines.
- Experience building and operating production services on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
- Strong technical judgment and experience guiding architecture across scalable cloud-native services.
- Experience with supply chain systems such as WMS, TMS, OMS, LMDS, or supply chain planning platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Operations, and Data Science stakeholders to translate strategy into technical solutions.
- Track record of driving code quality, testing, and engineering best practices across a team.
- Experience with third-party platforms, vendors, or large technology ecosystems.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of experience in retail, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or a related domain.
- Preferred: experience building applications powered by large language models or agentic AI frameworks, including prompt engineering, tool use, orchestration, and evaluation.
- Preferred: experience with LangGraph, AWS Bedrock Agents, RAG pipelines, vector databases, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipeline design, AI-assisted development tools, open-source contributions, or technical publishing.
