Base Salary
$166k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, document, implement, and architect clean, robust, scalable solutions for supply chain planning, fulfillment optimization, and transportation systems.
- Develop and optimize distributed systems, APIs, services, forecasting models, fulfillment routing, and transportation optimization solutions.
- Guide technical decisions, architecture, priorities, and tradeoffs with engineering, product, program, business, operations, and data science stakeholders.
- Own systems and designs spanning multiple engineers, breaking complex work into smaller tasks for junior engineers.
- Drive code reviews, design reviews, testing, automation, code quality, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
- Promote cloud-native solutions and support monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Partner with Data Science and analytics teams to operationalize AI/ML models and advanced analytics in production.
- Manage integrations with third-party warehouse, transportation, planning, and other platform ecosystems.
- Champion AI/ML tools, automation, agentic frameworks, and techniques that improve development and operational intelligence.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or technology roles.
- At least 2 years of experience in retail, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or a related domain is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex distributed systems in production environments.
- Hands-on experience architecting event-driven, highly available, high-throughput Tier 1 services.
- Strong proficiency with Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Data.
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency pipelines with event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka.
- Experience building and operating production services on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
- Strong technical judgment and experience guiding architecture across scalable, cloud-native services.
- Experience with supply chain systems such as WMS, TMS, OMS, LMDS, or supply chain planning platforms.
- Ability to translate strategy into executable technical solutions with Product, Operations, and Data Science stakeholders.
- Track record of driving code quality, testing, and engineering best practices across a team.
- Experience working with third-party platforms, vendors, or large technology ecosystems.
- Preferred experience building applications powered by large language models or agentic AI frameworks, including prompt engineering, tool use, orchestration patterns, and evaluation strategies.
- Preferred experience with LangGraph, AWS Bedrock Agents, RAG pipelines, vector databases, Terraform, AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AI-assisted development tools, open-source projects, or technical publishing.
