Responsibilities
- Design and manage Apigee X API proxies, shared flows, target servers, and environment groups.
- Configure GCP networking components including VPCs, Private Service Connect, load balancers, and Cloud Armor.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, custom authorization-header, API key, certificate, and credential-management policies.
- Manage secrets and credentials using GCP Secret Manager and Apigee Key-Value Maps.
- Configure TLS/mTLS, backend target servers, and routing across internal and external endpoints.
- Build and maintain multi-environment Apigee deployment pipelines for development, staging, and production.
- Perform API testing, request/response tracing, latency troubleshooting, and production proxy debugging.
- Configure monitoring, logging, operational alerting dashboards, and API health observability.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Apigee X architecture, API proxies, KVMs, and GCP networking infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT token validation, API security, and API key management.
- Practical experience with GCP Secret Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or Apigee KVMs.
- Hands-on expertise with backend target servers, mTLS, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
- Experience automating Apigee deployments with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or Terraform.
- Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, or curl and native Apigee tracing and debugging tools.
- Prior exposure to enterprise financial systems or treasury platforms such as Kyriba APIs is preferred.
- Google Apps Script experience for operational integrations or custom workflows is preferred.
- Experience with GCP Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and proactive API health alerting is preferred.
