Responsibilities
- Lead the design, coding, testing, and delivery of a large-scale cloud-native platform on AWS.
- Lead technical design and coding reviews, manage application dependencies, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Own critical projects with high autonomy and minimal direction.
- Establish cloud-native, microservices, domain-driven, and event-driven architecture practices.
- Act as a technical authority across multiple teams and guide scalable, reliable design decisions.
- Champion and evaluate AI-assisted development tools, defining standards for their safe, secure, and effective use.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and feedback loops to improve delivery speed and system reliability.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and foster engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and security teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 3 or more years in a lead or principal engineering role.
- Hands-on experience building scalable distributed systems in AWS production environments.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, system design, software testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, code LLMs, or automated testing AI tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with data engineering, machine learning, or AI technologies is advantageous.
