
Forward Deployed Engineer - EMEA
Tulip InterfacesResponsibilities
- Partner with plant-level and corporate stakeholders at customer sites, including operators, engineers, IT, quality, and operations leadership
- Lead the design, build, and deployment of customer-specific Tulip solutions in live manufacturing environments
- Integrate shop-floor systems and devices, including PLCs, MES/ERP, and quality systems
- Work with machine data, events, and production context such as orders, materials, and routings
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning software, data, and operational workflows
- Own customer solutions technically and serve as the technical authority during deployments
- Advise on architecture, scalability, security, and reliability for regulated or high-availability environments
- Document solutions, share deployment learnings, and contribute to internal processes and best practices
- Represent customer needs to Product and Engineering teams and help turn customer-specific solutions into reusable product capabilities
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial software, or manufacturing-focused technology roles, including at least 4 years in direct customer-facing or consulting roles
- Experience with Operations Technology such as MES, ERP, quality, or production systems, with architecture and implementation experience strongly preferred
- Experience integrating systems and devices in manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, quality, traceability, and operational constraints
- Ability to lead complex technical or operational initiatives end to end and identify improvement opportunities on a shop floor
- Strong project management, organization, communication, creative problem-solving, and strategic delivery skills
- Ability to conduct technically deep customer conversations, learn quickly, and lead in ambiguous environments
- BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel up to 50%
