Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and support full-stack web applications for DailyMed.
- Implement and debug search and database systems including Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and Solr.
- Develop applications using Docker containers and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with front-end, back-end, database, cloud, and software engineering technologies to improve current implementations.
- Support the NIH/NLM’s public-facing biomedical and health information resource.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a scientific field such as engineering or physics, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of full-stack web application development experience using Python, Django, and Angular.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Java, Ruby, and Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Solr, Docker containers, GitLab, Bamboo, and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with MongoDB or Cassandra, Node.js, AngularJS, cloud computing environments, and version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Understanding of computer science principles including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with software engineering tools such as JIRA, Agile methods, and test-driven development.
