Base Salary
$185k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own product feature implementation from concept through launch, adoption, and iteration.
- Translate product vision, user needs, partner feedback, and enterprise requirements into technical plans and shipped product experiences.
- Build, integrate, test, and ship full-stack features across front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure-adjacent areas.
- Develop AI-powered chat, search, research, workflow automation, administration, integrations, and enterprise workflow capabilities.
- Partner with product, design, engineering, enterprise-facing teams, senior technical leadership, open-source contributors, and external stakeholders.
- Use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining quality, security, maintainability, and reliability.
- Measure and evaluate feature usage, adoption, reliability, quality, support signals, and product value after launch.
- Identify product gaps, technical risks, edge cases, and opportunities to improve user experience.
- Establish reusable product and engineering patterns and contribute to a culture of ownership, quality, experimentation, and practical execution.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience with Staff-level scope, leadership, and impact.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills across user interfaces, APIs, services, integrations, data flows, and infrastructure-adjacent areas.
- Experience owning complex product features from technical planning through implementation, launch, evaluation, and iteration.
- Experience building AI-enabled products or features, with practical familiarity with LLMs, RAG, agents, model/provider abstraction, data connectors, retrieval systems, or AI application architecture.
- Experience evaluating and using multiple AI tools, models, frameworks, or development harnesses and explaining their tradeoffs and limitations.
- Experience with open-source enterprise products, developer tools, infrastructure products, platform products, or technically complex enterprise software.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to turn user, partner, customer, and product signals into practical technical plans.
- Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-changing product environment.
- Strong understanding of software quality, testing, maintainability, security, performance, reliability, and implementation tradeoffs.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, design, open-source, and customer- or partner-facing stakeholders.
- Awareness of enterprise needs including privacy, security, administration, access control, compliance, deployment flexibility, supportability, and responsible AI.
- Preferred experience includes self-hosted, hybrid, customer-controlled, or regulated deployments; enterprise or public-sector customers; reusable product patterns; instrumentation; observability; and experimentation.
- Preferred familiarity includes the EU AI Act, Cyber Resilience Act, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
