Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve the AI Agentic Platform, including agent orchestration, tool use, memory, and multi-agent coordination.
- Translate business goals into platform capabilities supporting autonomous workflows across commerce, inventory, and customer experience.
- Lead cross-team design reviews, define platform engineering standards, and create reusable architecture artifacts.
- Evaluate and integrate LLM APIs, vector stores, RAG patterns, embedding-based search, and agentic frameworks.
- Drive platform observability, evaluation, reliability, safety guardrails, and policy-constrained agent behavior.
- Develop hands-on proofs of concept for novel agentic patterns and guide broader adoption.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex agentic-system issues and significant operational incidents.
- Mentor engineers across teams and influence senior technical and business leaders on architecture and roadmap decisions.
- Contribute to company-wide engineering standards, open-source initiatives, and the broader AI engineering community.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed platforms.
- Deep hands-on production experience with LLMs, foundation-model APIs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and embedding-based search.
- Experience building or significantly contributing to shared AI infrastructure or developer platforms within an AI-focused product organization.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java and experience with cloud-native development on AWS and/or GCP.
- Expertise with scalable distributed systems, including microservices, event-driven architectures, API gateways, and data pipelines.
- Experience influencing senior technical and business leaders, articulating engineering trade-offs, and driving cross-team decisions.
- Strong DevOps foundation including CI/CD, containerization, observability, telemetry, and SLA-driven reliability engineering.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering talent across multiple teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred experience building agentic systems with LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or OpenAI Assistants API.
- Preferred familiarity with multi-agent orchestration, task decomposition, tool-use pipelines, agent memory, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Preferred experience with agent evaluation frameworks, safety guardrails, responsible AI deployment, retail or e-commerce workflows, open-source AI or platform projects, and data science-enabled solutions.
- Preferred experience with big data technologies such as Spark, BigQuery, and Redshift and with integrating ML models into production platforms.
