Responsibilities
- Work with art and design teams to create and iterate on gameplay AI features.
- Experiment with game design and rapid prototyping while maintaining strong structural and algorithmic decisions.
- Build and maintain core AI systems in the Fortnite AI ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engine AI developers to improve AI systems.
- Optimize and fix bugs in existing gameplay AI systems.
- Support high-quality user experiences across all supported platforms.
Requirements
- Professional game development experience and experience shipping AAA titles with AI.
- Experience with AI systems such as Behavior Trees, Finite State Machines, and pathfinding.
- Strong C++ skills and the ability to design AI gameplay mechanics and tools.
- Strong understanding of games and the ability to evaluate game design; interest in online games is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, independent-working, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on a live-service game is a plus.
