Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end, including data models, Rails APIs, and frontend interfaces.
- Build product surfaces on top of LLMs and agents, including ingestion, structured data, and UIs for reviewing and verifying AI-generated output.
- Partner with a team lead or AI engineer to turn ambiguous greenfield problems into shipped features.
- Engage with product leadership on prioritization and scope.
- Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on simple, user-centered product experiences.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
- Strong Ruby on Rails experience, including designing and building APIs.
- Proficiency with JavaScript/ES6 and a modern frontend framework, preferably React.
- Experience working across the full stack with relational databases, including MySQL.
- Experience building products with agentic workflows, prompting, non-deterministic output, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Understanding of HTTP, REST, and JSON.
- Ability to break complex, ambiguous problems into digestible, shippable pieces.
- Ability to work in fast-paced startup environments and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preferred experience with data pipelines, ingestion, and processing of raw rental data from XML files or APIs.
- Preferred experience with agentic frameworks, RAG, or LLM tool use.
- Preferred depth in the React ecosystem, including Redux or similar tools.
- Preferred experience collaborating with designers and AI engineers on intuitive frontend experiences.
- Strong product and UX judgment is preferred.
