Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, reusable React and TypeScript frontend components.
- Implement end-to-end features from React UI through backend services, owning work from architecture to production.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexing, and performance.
- Develop Kotlin backend services and contribute to backend architecture.
- Build Kafka-based event-driven workflows processing thousands of messages per second.
- Implement data-lake queries using Iceberg and Trino.
- Integrate GraphQL for client-server communication and maintain schema performance.
- Write tests across the stack and maintain code quality and reliability.
- Debug production issues and optimize performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate on design and implementation, participate in code reviews, and maintain frontend and backend standards.
- Use AI development tools such as Claude Code in the daily workflow.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production software development experience.
- Expert-level React and TypeScript skills with deep knowledge of component architecture and state management.
- Strong algorithmic thinking, system design, and code review skills.
- Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, or Node.js, with the ability to work in a Kotlin codebase.
- Experience with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization.
- Experience with high-scale, resource-constrained systems processing 20,000 or more messages per second.
- Experience integrating GraphQL or REST APIs and understanding client-server contracts.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub workflows.
- Strong learning ability, independence, teamwork, and verbal and written English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Kafka or event-driven architecture, Iceberg, Trino, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, mentoring, technical leadership, or automotive and cybersecurity domains.
