Responsibilities
- Own quality end-to-end across product, from UI to backend APIs to edge devices.
- Define and implement QA strategy (manual + automated).
- Build scalable test automation (API, integration, E2E).
- Perform hands-on exploratory testing with strong user empathy.
- Identify high-impact issues vs noise; prioritize ruthlessly.
- Work closely with engineers to debug, reproduce, and prevent issues.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD and release processes.
- Improve product reliability, performance, and edge-case handling.
- Drive quality standards, not just execute test cases.
Requirements
- 3–6 years QA / SDET experience.
- Strong understanding of how the internet works (HTTP, sockets, APIs, latency, failures).
- Experience testing APIs with code (e.g., Python/JS + REST tools).
- Experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, etc.).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable test code.
- Strong product intuition — knows what actually breaks user experience.
- Excellent communication; can clearly articulate issues and tradeoffs.
- Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.
- High ownership, low ego, high execution speed.
