Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test frameworks, and testing activities across enterprise systems and data-driven applications.
- Validate requirements and user stories, define acceptance criteria, and maintain end-to-end traceability using Azure DevOps.
- Oversee functional, integration, system, regression, performance, load, and user acceptance testing.
- Manage defect documentation, prioritization, root-cause analysis, lifecycle tracking, and resolution verification.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites.
- Lead Section 508 and accessibility compliance testing using accessibility evaluation tools.
- Provide quality status reporting, risk assessments, and release readiness recommendations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and advocate for software quality.
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA staff and establish QA best practices, standards, and governance.
- Identify and implement improvements to QA methodologies, automation practices, and toolchains.
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or test engineering, including leadership responsibilities.
- Experience developing enterprise-level test strategies, test plans, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong experience with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar test automation tools and frameworks.
- Extensive experience using Azure DevOps for test case management, defect tracking, backlog alignment, sprint workflows, and traceability.
- Experience leading Section 508 and accessibility compliance testing using ANDI, Color Contrast Checker, CommonLook, or similar tools.
- Experience leading performance and integration testing activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience collaborating with developers, architects, business analysts, and project managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with U.S. federal government IT systems, cloud-hosted and data-driven applications, CI/CD pipeline integration, and QA governance or testing centers of excellence.
