Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and support Delphi-based applications used in healthcare payer operations.
- Support AMISYS functionality, integrations, data flows, and issue resolution across claims and related payer processes.
- Gather requirements from business users and health plan operations teams and translate them into technical specifications.
- Analyze claims-processing issues, production incidents, application defects, and data discrepancies to identify root causes and develop solutions.
- Write, analyze, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extracts using relational databases.
- Support unit, system, and user acceptance testing and validate claims-related functionality.
- Document technical designs, code changes, issue resolutions, and operational procedures.
- Support implementations, upgrades, enhancements, conversions, interfaces, and production support activities.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on Delphi development experience supporting enterprise applications, enhancements, production support, and maintenance.
- 3–5 years of experience with AMISYS or another healthcare payer core administration platform.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting claims-related functionality in a healthcare payer, managed care, or health plan environment.
- 3–5 years of experience with claims processing workflows, including adjudication, edits, payment logic, provider data, and member eligibility.
- 3–5 years of SQL experience, including query writing, data analysis, defect troubleshooting, and relational database support.
- Experience with application development lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Preferred experience with payer interfaces, data exchanges, EDI transactions, or claims-related integrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mathematics, or an associate’s degree specifically in computer science; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Consulting or client-facing experience is preferred.
