Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable C#/.NET backend architectures for scientific instrument host software.
- Develop communication protocols and middleware connecting embedded systems, hardware controllers, and front-panel electronics.
- Build high-throughput real-time data acquisition, storage, and processing pipelines for analytical datasets.
- Design and develop ASP.NET Core RESTful APIs, microservices, and gRPC services for desktop, web, and third-party integrations.
- Create efficient database schemas and optimize query performance for scientific data workloads.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware developers, application scientists, and UI/UX teams to resolve integration issues and deliver instrument software.
- Ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, peer reviews, and compliance with applicable scientific-instrumentation regulations.
- Mentor junior developers, contribute to architecture decisions, and improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional backend software development experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Deep proficiency with .NET Framework, .NET Core, or .NET 5+, including asynchronous programming, multithreading, and performance optimization.
- Expert knowledge of ASP.NET Core, RESTful API design, and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and ORM technologies including Entity Framework Core and Dapper.
- Familiarity with messaging systems, caching strategies, and distributed-systems design principles.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean architecture practices.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
- Preferred experience with real-time data acquisition and high-speed signal processing in industrial or scientific contexts.
- Preferred familiarity with TCP/IP, USB, RS-232/RS-485, Modbus, and CAN.
- Preferred experience with WPF, WinForms, or MAUI for Windows desktop applications.
- Preferred exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.
- Preferred proficiency with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, GraphQL, or other modern communication frameworks and API paradigms.
- Preferred understanding of regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical or medical-device industries.
- Open-source contributions, technical blogs, or relevant published papers are preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development and international teams is preferred.
