Responsibilities
- Lead squad delivery of product and engineering goals.
- Design, implement, and deliver multiple products and high-quality, maintainable, reusable software systems.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to software engineers.
- Influence team direction and establish practices and tools that improve engineering effectiveness.
- Manage external dependencies and collaborate on long-term technical plans and roadmaps.
- Lead recruitment efforts, particularly for senior hires.
Requirements
- Experience working on reasonably large, high-availability software systems operating at scale.
- Experience with modern full-stack web application technologies.
- Preferred experience with Next.js and React.js for front-end engineering and Java and TypeScript for backend development.
- Strong technical leadership and collaboration skills beyond technical expertise.
- Interest in working for the public good.
- Interest and experience in coaching and growing junior engineers.
