Base Salary
$157k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Apply control theory to design and verify mechatronic and robotic systems.
- Bring up distributed electromechanical systems for experimentation.
- Validate and iterate simulated dynamic models through targeted experimentation.
- Design experiments to clarify complex dependencies and key relationships.
- Design software algorithms for new and existing products.
- Develop software tools and infrastructure for algorithm analysis and development.
- Perform comprehensive testing of algorithm quality and performance.
- Facilitate mechanical, hardware, and software integration of new products.
- Document and pursue intellectual property.
Requirements
- C/C++ and MATLAB programming skills are required; Python knowledge is preferred.
- At least 4 years of industry experience is required.
- Completion or current enrollment in a doctorate-level Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics degree-seeking program is required; master’s-level graduates may be considered based on relevant experience.
- Experience integrating hardware and software for complex electromechanical systems.
- Strong software and hardware problem-solving skills and engineering judgment.
- Ability to model and analyze mechanical phenomena rigorously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and work independently.
