Staff Software Engineer (Techlead) - AI Platform
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and delivery of AI Platform services, including evaluation pipelines, agent and MCP infrastructure, and AI observability.
- Architect scalable, performant, secure, and testable platform solutions.
- Partner with product teams to build customer-facing AI features and platformize valuable patterns.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and influence technology selection and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Own operational excellence, including reliability, observability, capacity planning, deployment strategy, and blameless postmortems.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and operating backend distributed systems at scale in production.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered systems, such as model API integrations, retrieval or agent architectures, evaluation pipelines, or LLM observability.
- Experience leading moderate-to-high-complexity projects end-to-end and coordinating other engineers’ work.
- Strong coding skills in a mainstream backend language such as Python or Java.
- Solid experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience building customer-facing features and translating user needs into technical decisions.
- Cybersecurity or regulated/high-trust domain experience and experience building or operating MCP servers are preferred.
