Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate secure, stable, and scalable cloud environments for mission-critical applications.
- Own the AWS ECS application platform support model and ensure application environments are available, performant, and deployment-ready.
- Implement and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and administer Jenkins and Spinnaker deployment tooling.
- Identify reliability and performance bottlenecks and optimize services and user interfaces for speed and scalability.
- Support Kafka and SQL data dependencies in partnership with application teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and operations stakeholders across globally distributed teams.
- Mentor engineers through reusable pipeline patterns, standards, hands-on guidance, and communities of practice.
- Work within Scrum teams and align infrastructure and DevOps work with sprint goals and delivery commitments.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied DevOps, cloud support, or platform engineering experience.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS and ECS supporting cloud-based applications end to end.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices, including Jenkins and Spinnaker.
- Strong problem-solving, independent working, coordination, and technical communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models and working patterns.
- Working understanding of SQL and Kafka dependencies in modern service architectures.
- Preferred: experience supporting Java/SpringBoot microservices and React micro frontends.
- Preferred: knowledge of banking operations and data or data-driven product delivery.
- Preferred: ability to support AI-informed user experiences and understand agentic frameworks, including prompting, workflows, tools, and Python/Java experience.
